Dataset description

A warning report on air pollution in the Greater East region is generated during each alert activation. It stems from the recommendations of the Zonal Framework Decree on prefectural procedures in the event of episodes of pollution in ambient air. This alert is produced from information from the digital forecasting chain and the expertise of a forecaster. It deals mainly with the expected situation over the next 24 hours. As a general rule, it is broadcast before 2 p.m. In order to take into account the exposure of the population, it incorporates criteria of area, number of exposed inhabitants or specific situations. It shall indicate the pollutant concerned, the date of the episode, the areas concerned and the level of vigilance (yellow, orange, red). It includes health messages adapted to the pollutant corresponding to the current pollution episode, as well as behavioural recommendations. Depending on the situation, it may be followed by an activation of a prefectural information or alert device.
