Potentially Wetlands in the Vosges Department

Layer produced in the framework of the Memoris study (Inventory and Mapping of Potential Wetlands and Flood Zones in the Vosges Department). This layer corresponds to all territories with typical characteristics of potential wetlands and networks of potentially wetlands. The criteria to be used for the definition of a potential wetland are related to morphology soils (related to the prolonged presence of natural water) and the possible presence of hygrophilic plants. These territories have been identified and delimited by photo-interpretation of data sources (IGN-BDOrtho, ASTER satellite images) and exogenous (sensitive natural areas, Natura 2000 sites, etc.). This method excludes systematic field surveys.
