Dataset description

The Ministry in charge of the environment launched in 2007 the national inventory of geological heritage, geodiversity of the natural heritage, like the ZNIEFF for the biodiversity slope. This mission is delegated in the region to the DREALs. The inventory of the geological heritage of the Auvergne-Rhône Alpes region counts today (March 2021) 462 sites validated by the National Museum of Natural History and integrated into the National Inventory (INPG). Some 30 others are under consideration and will be reviewed by the CRPG, the FNRC and then the National Commission. Community information will be provided in advance. Find out more: http://www.auvergne-rhone-alpes.developpement-durable.gouv.fr/patrimoine-geologique-r3552.html It lists sites of geological interest and presents itself in 3 distinct levels of information: — 1 geographical data describing the surface sites; — 1 geographical data detailing the specific sites; — 1 punctual geographical data presenting the “point of view” from which referenced sites can be admired; — 1 geographical data of the confidential sites aggregated to the municipal grid; — 1 geographical data of the proposed/study sites; — 1 geographical data of the confidential sites in project/study aggregated to the municipal grid
