Dataset description

On a recurring basis, some development or economic development projects have often been identified late by the Vosges Departmental Directorate of Territories (DDT) (lack of prior information) as impacting or destroying wetlands, and in fact involved the abandonment, badly experienced by their owners, of already well-developed projects. With this in mind, in early 2009, the Vosges DDT launched the creation of the departmental wetland pre-inventory map (PIZH) in order to alert project managers, from the very beginning of their project, of the high probability of wetlands being present in certain areas. With this pre-tracking, DDT des Vosges has launched another study approach to improve the integration of this new knowledge of wetlands into urban planning documents.
