Contours of forest fires (regardless of the size of these fires). The database “Prometheus” (Building materials: MAP-MISSIL; Master of work: CG 13 in liaison with DFCI partners) contains extensive data on forest fires in the 15 departments of the Mediterranean region. Retrieval of data stored in the Prometheus database is possible subject to certain conditions (see on the site: http://www.promethee.com/). Each fire of more than 10 hectares (as well as a few smaller fires) is the subject of a hand-raised contour on IGN scans from field reconnaissances, or by GPS for small-area lights. Contours are carried out by the DDTM Sectoral Technician, or the NFO Territorial Agent designated by the DDTM, once the light is fixed. The final contours, once validated by the DDTM, acquire legal value and can be transmitted to the relevant services (MAAF, DRAAF, DPFM, Prefecture, Gendarmerie, SDIS, ONF) and, at their request, to prosecutors.
