Dataset description

Forest massifs delimited for the prevention of forest fires pursuant to Article L. 321-6 (1st alinea) and Articles R 321-15 to R. 321-25 of the Forest Code. Forest massifs (see definition Annex 2 of circular DERF/SDF/C2002-3017 of 24 September 2002) are defined when drawing up the plan for the protection of forests against fire, based on a risk study at departmental or regional level (see Circular DGFAR/SDFB/C2004-5007 of 26 March 2004). Article L321.6-1st paragraph applies to forest areas located in Aquitaine, Corsica, Languedoc-Roussillon, Midi-Pyrénées, Poitou-Charentes, PACA, and the departments of Ardèche and Drome.
