Dataset description

This dataset contains the perimeters of priority neighbourhoods (surface objects) of the region New-Aquitaine, pursuant to Article 5 of Law No 2014-173 of 21 February 2014 on programming for the city and urban cohesion. The priority areas of the city’s policy in the metropolitan departments are urban areas characterised by a minimum number of inhabitants and a gap in economic and social development assessed by a criterion of inhabitants’ income. Decree No 2014-767 of 3 July 2014 established the method of delineating the contours of the priority areas of city policy referred to in Article 5 I of Law No 2014-173 of 21 February 2014 on programming for city and urban cohesion. Decree No 2014-767 also specified the procedure by which the final contours of priority districts are drawn up, the list of which, referred to in Article 5 II of the abovementioned Law, is laid down by this Decree. This decree is hereby adopted for the application of Article 5 of Law No 2014-173 of 21 February 2014 on programming for the city and urban cohesion. These perimeters replace sensitive urban areas (Zus) and urban social cohesion contract districts (CUCS) as of 1 January 2015.
