Dataset description

The Risk Prevention Plans (PPR) were established by the Act of 2 February 1995 on strengthening the protection of the environment. They are the state’s key instrument for risk prevention. The objective of this procedure is to monitor development in areas exposed to a major risk. The PPRIF of La Londe-les-Maures was prescribed by prefectural decree of 13 October 2003. A prevention and management tool, the PPRIF aims to take into account forest fire risk in the urban development of the municipality. The FPRIP prescribes prevention measures to be implemented by both owners and public communities. Certain provisions of the draft PPRIF de La Londe-les-Maures were immediately enforceable by prefectural decree on 29 July 2014. These provisions apply to new constructions, structures, developments or operations. Depending on the level of hazard, the stakes and the defensibility, the regulation of the draft PPRIF distinguishes different types of areas: — R: red zone; — En1: high to very high risk area; — In 1': high to very high risk area with current defensibility insufficient but improveable; — En2: moderate to high risk area; — En3: low to moderate risk zone; — NCR: not affected by risk.
