Dataset description

The Risk Prevention Plans (PPR) were established by the Act of 2 February 1995 on strengthening the protection of the environment. They are the state’s key instrument for risk prevention. The objective of this procedure is to monitor development in areas exposed to a major risk. The Tanneron PPRIF was prescribed by prefectural order of 13 October 2003. A prevention and management tool, the PPRIF aims to take into account forest fire risk in the urban development of the municipality. The FPRIP prescribes prevention measures to be implemented by both owners and public communities. Certain provisions of Tanneron’s draft PPRIF were immediately enforceable by prefectural decree on 06 August 2014. These provisions apply to new constructions, structures, developments or operations. Depending on the level of hazard, the stakes and the defensibility, the regulation of the draft PPRIF distinguishes different types of areas: — R: red zone; — En1: high to very high risk area; — In 1': high to very high risk area with current defensibility insufficient but improveable. The completion of works will declassify these areas to En2 or En3 in the future final PPRIF; — En2: moderate to high risk area; — En3: low to moderate risk zone; — NCR: not affected by risk.
