Dataset description

This database represents the perimeters of the classified deposits of scallops. It includes the areas of the Côtes d’Armor department (22) located east of the Meridian des Héaux de Bréhat and the Côtes d’Armor part of the Maritime Rance. In Ille-et-Vilaine (35), it includes the deposits located east of the meridian of the Tower of the Ebhiens Island and the Ille-et-Vilaine part of the Maritime Rance. It also includes some of the deposits in the department of the Manche (50) located in the West Cotentin and at the limit of the dividing line of competences between the prefects of the regions of Brittany and Normandy. The exploitation of scallop deposits is regulated for diving, dredging and foot fishing activities.
