Dataset description

Data acquired in 2013 by Argos tag, were analysed to release 2 locations per day. The number of locations of Balked Humpback Whales in Reunion is aggregated per square of 1° side. This method of calculation is that chosen within the framework of the Megafaune project for all populations (a species, a place) studied in order to allow inter-comparison. The data were acquired under the MIROMEN (MIgration routes of Megaptera Novaeangliae) programme run by GLOBICE, funded by the European Community.
