Dataset description

It is called “specific watershed” the area bounded by a contour called the ridge line, within which the precipitated water flows and ends up directly reaching the body of water without passing through another body of water. The creation rules to be taken into account are: A/Cas of a non-artificial body of water — The outlets upstream and downstream of the body of watercourses, — There is no inclusion of another body of water in the specific watershed. B/Cas of an artificial body of water: it does not have a specific catchment area. C/Cas of a body of water body of water — Artificial or not, it must have a specific catchment area, — In the case of gravel: We will resume its perimeter as a specific catchment area. The topographical watershed will be reused if the available information is fairly fine. D/Cas of a Coastal Water Mass — The specific catchment area corresponds to the body of coastal water enriched by its topographic catchment area (e.g. any coastal watercourses not being identified as a body of watercourses, etc.) with the exception of what belongs to another body of water. The entire national administrative territory is covered by specific watersheds. A specific watershed may not contain a body of continental surface water in the following cases: — Coastal watercourses of the hydrographic repository not identified as a body of watercourses, — Watershed heads going abroad, — Endoreic zone: This will be defined only by taking the contour of the endoreic zone. The layers are distributed in a format consistent with the SANDRE data dictionary of the Water Mass Reference, version 1.4.
