2020 Income from Tax Homes

The data presented provide an image of income taxation from 2020 to 31 December 2021. This reflects all income tax returns for 2020. The statistics cover all tax households (a 2042 return counts for a tax household). Thus, in the event of the death of one of the spouses, two declarations being made (one for the common period and one for the period after the death for the surviving spouse), two tax homes are deducted. The information on tax households is broken down by reference tax income bracket, with a total for the municipality, the department and finally for the region. It is specified that the national data include those of the Non-Resident Tax Directorate (NIDI). Finally, the data are presented after neutralisation of the tax credit equal to the compulsory flat-rate levy. In accordance with the rules of statistical confidentiality, data are not available for some municipalities with a small number of tax households. The data were structured to correspond to the communal geography in force on 1 January 2022.
