Dataset description

Controlled Designations of Origin (AOC) and Appellations d’Origine Protected (PDO) in Pays de la Loire, referenced by INAO, representation by parcels. The National Institute of Origin and Quality is a public administrative institution with civil personality, under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. By the Agricultural Guidance Act of 5 January 2006, INAO is responsible for implementing the French policy on products with official signs identifying origin and quality: designation of origin; PGI; red label; STG and organic agriculture. The Paris-based Institute is based on 8 territorial units covering the entire metropolitan area.
