Areas of competence in Sanitation of Public Institutions of Intercommunal Cooperation (EPCI) in Indre-et-Loire.

An EPCI of any form may have Sanitation powers assigned by its statutes (Article L5211-5 of the CGCT). This competence may include: waste water collection, AND/OR l' wastewater treatment. A commune adhering to an EPCI can choose to: — to delegate this competence to it — to delegate it to another public institution or to another body — to retain that competence. Areas of competence are thus formed; different from the administrative perimeters of the EPCI.
