Dataset description

**Time counting data set of bikes per meter and location of counting sites in J-1 over 13 slippery months** A metering site may be equipped with a meter in the case of a unidirectional cycle layout or two meters in the case of bi-directional cycle layout. The City of Paris has been deploying permanent bike meters for several years to evaluate the development of cycling practice. This dataset presents all the hourly bike counts over 13 slippery months (J-13 months), updated to J-1. The meters are located on bike paths and in some bus corridors open to bicycles. Other vehicles (e.g. scooters...) are not counted. This dataset is loaded daily on our partner’s API [Eco Counter](https://www.eco-compteur.com/expertise/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1e_cneec6QIV1PhRCh0XbQAyEAAYASAAEgL9gvD_BwE). Since the Eco Meter API does not natively provide the meaning counting, aggregation processing has been carried out to reconstitute it. You will find here: — Meter ID — Name of the meter — Identifier of the counting site — Name of the counting site — Hourly counting — Date and time of counting \- Date of installation of the counting site \- Link to photo of the counting site \- Geographical coordinates A join was made with the dataset _[Bicycle Counting — Meters](https://parisdata.opendatasoft.com/explore/dataset/comptage-velo-compteurs/information/?disjunctive.id_compteur&disjunctive.nom_compteur&disjunctive.id&disjunctive.name&disjunctive.channel_id&disjunctive.channel_name&disjunctive.channel_sens)_ in order to retrieve all the descriptive information of the counting site and its counters, including location and installation date. ATTENTION: The number of meters changes over time The number of meters evolves as and when cycling is done. Some meters may be deactivated for work or punctually fail.
