Constituencies of Ille-et-Vilaine

Legislative constituencies are the territorial framework for the election of each deputy to the National Assembly, deputies elected by direct universal suffrage for a renewable 5-year term (unless the legislature is interrupted by dissolution, Article 24 of the Constitution). This division of the legislative districts of France was established by the two ordinances of 29 July 2009, ratified by the two chambers on 19 and 21 January 2010, validated by the Constitutional Council on 18 February 2010, and published in the OJ on 23 February. The new electoral map has come into force since the 2012 parliamentary elections. On the territory of Rennes Métropole, for internal problems of matching the reference data sets (often more precise), the geometries of these districts have been backed by the polygons of the layer of the municipal boundaries referential of Rennes Métropole. This recaling was carried out according to a strict reading of the texts. It should be noted that the perimeters of the districts on the territory of Rennes Métropole have been modified following the taking into account of the Parcellaire Representation Cadastrale Unique (RPCU).
