INSEE relies on the definition of reference islands for the purposes of national censuses for all municipalities with more than 10,000 inhabitants and most municipalities with 5,000 to 10,000 inhabitants. The IRIS (Consolidated Ilots for Statistical Information) is the basic brick for the dissemination of local data.
Iris Grande Scale does not contain any statistical data from INSEE, but only allows the mapping of these data through IRIS numbers.
