Dataset description

Road developments dedicated to cycling in the territory of Angers Loire Métropole (outside the commune of Loire-Authion) * * * Description of the main fields of the dataset **NAME**: name of the geographical object **VELO_TYPE**: type of road development dedicated to cycling **CIRCULATIO**: type of traffic **CONTR_SENS**: movement of bicycles with countersense permitted or not **TRON_FONC**: track section function **LENGTH**: length of the section in meters **DATE_MAJ**: data update date If DATE_MAJ is null, then DATE_MAj = ‘ANTER A 2017’ **SOURCE**: data source * * * Description of VELO_TYPE values **Cycle path**: carriageway exclusively for two- or three-wheel cycles, isolated from general traffic by a non-passable separator. **Cycling band**: on a multi-lane roadway, that reserved exclusively for two- or three-wheel cycles and delimited, insulated general traffic by a discontinuous paint line. **Cyclable double-sense**: double-way track, one direction of which is reserved exclusively for the circulation of two- or three-wheel cycles. In other words, a one-way road to motor traffic that allows for a cycle counter-sense. **Green path**: road exclusively reserved for the use of non-motorised vehicles, pedestrians and riders. **Bus corridor in the direction of traffic**: open corridor, bounded by a discontinuous line, from which cyclist and bus can exit to double. **Chaucidou**: smooth-moving roadway, favouring bicycles. Without axial marking whose bank lines are close to its axis, motorised vehicles operate on a two-way central lane and cyclists on coated shoulders called banks. The width of the open lane to motorised vehicles is insufficient to allow for crossings. They therefore occasionally cross the shore when they cross, checking previously for the absence of cyclists and, failing that, slowing down. **Cyclable trajectory**: Marking on the ground of a recommended trajectory for cyclists, serving as a reference for cyclists and other users. **Cyclable crossing**: Marking on the ground of a recommended trajectory for cyclists crossing general traffic. ** Pedestrian route**: pavement reserved for pedestrian use. **Passerelle**: roadwork spanning a roadway for motor use and reserved for the use of soft modes of movement. **Meeting area**:area open to any mode of movement with priority to pedestrians authorised to operate on the roadway. * * * Geographic objects were digitised using orthophotographs and field surveys.
