Data — CIGAL 2000 v2 Land Use Database (BdOCS2000-CIGAL v2) — Alsace

The spatial land use database 2000 v2 of the Alsace region was produced by photointerpretation (BDOCS2008 update). Thematic reference images are IRS 2000 images at 5.8 m resolution. The 1997 ORTHO IGN comic was used as a geometric support. The creation of the BDOCS2000 v2 is based on the existing boundaries of BDOCS2008, only the contours and/or codes of the land cover change zones between the two dates being modified. This dataset has been produced to allow optimal use at the scale 1/10 000 (levels 3 and 4 of the nomenclature). The study area represents an area of 8 330 km². The information layers have also been generalised and are available for use at 1/50 000th (level 2 of the nomenclature) and 1/250 000th (level 1 of the nomenclature).
