Dataset description

The SDAGV is the departmental declination of the policy of the State in favor of the #x27th; welcome of Travellers. In particular, it sets the number of zones d' reception to be carried out and identifies the municipalities that need to have an area. The departmental scheme for the reception of Travellers is rendered mandatory by the Law of 5 July 2000 on the reception of Travellers of which Article 1 specifies: ‘In each department, in the light of a preliminary assessment of needs and of #x27; existing offer, in particular the frequency and duration of stays of Travellers, of the possibilities of schooling for children, d' access to care and of #x27; carrying out economic activities, a departmental scheme provides for the geographical areas of #x27; establishment of permanent areas of #x27; reception and the municipalities where they are to be carried out.’ The SDAGV also specifies “the destination of the permanent areas of ' reception and their capacity”. It must also determine the areas of large passages: “places likely to be temporarily occupied at #x27; occasion of traditional or occasional gatherings”. The SDAGV sets the number of d' reception to be carried out and the total number of seats in the area d' reception to be reached. The SDAGV is prepared by the Prefect and the President of the General Council. It is reviewable every 6 years from its publication. Municipalities with more than 5000 inhabitants are required to be included in the SDAGV, municipalities with less than 5000 inhabitants may also be included if they have given their prior consent or if they have requested it, which allows them to benefit from the State subsidy. Development and management of a common area by several municipalities is carried out either by a transfer of competence to an inter-communal cooperation structure or by means of an intercommunal agreement. __Origin__ This data is derived from the SDAGV adopted by the prefect of department and the president of the general council. Each SDAGV is the subject of a follow-up of its progress carried out by the department in charge of the habitat within the Departmental Directorate of the Departmental Territories of the Department.
