Dataset description

Data from the following digital consultation campaign: What uses for the buildings of the town halls released following the consolidation of the 1st, 2nd, 3 rd and 4th arrondissements? The consultation was open on idee.paris from 13 October 2018 to 31 January 2019. In March 2020, the first four boroughs of the capital were grouped together. This transformation is part of the law of 28 February 2017 relating to the status of Paris. In addition to the merger between the Commune and the Department, the exercise of the City of Paris of new missions, in particular in the field of security, or the strengthening of the role of the borough mayors, this law provides for the consolidation of the first four arrondissements of the capital. This group led to the creation of a unique town hall and freed up space in the buildings of the other three town halls. The first studies carried out by the services of the City of Paris showed that it is almost 3 500 m² that could find new uses accessible to all, mainly on the ground floor and on the 1st floor of the buildings of the town halls. The spaces located on the upper floors, when they are difficult to access and not suitable for uses intended for Parisien.ne.s, can be used to rehouse certain services of the City and thus reduce the real estate expenses of the community. Parisians were asked to indicate what practices they considered to be a priority. The proposed questionnaire allowed them to select four proposals, knowing that these future buildings will be able to offer several services. Parisians could also make a new suggestion if they wanted to.
