Dataset description

Infra-communal disadvantaged agricultural area defined by prefectural classification order. Less-favoured agricultural areas are territories with specific natural and permanent natural and permanent handicaps (economic, agricultural, physical and demographic) related to the terrain, the altitude, the slope and the soil, in which the maintenance of #x27; agricultural activity is necessary for the maintenance of the #x27; natural area (see Directive 75/268/EEC). DATA QUALITY: This classification translates into 5 types of zone: * Not Disadvantaged * Disadvantaged * Piedmont * Mountain * High Mountain L' 2012 update of less-favoured areas, according to the prefectural decree of 13/11/2011, aims to modify the classification of the zone of Haute Montagne. Are classified in the Haute Montagne area: * Communes previously classified in Haute Montagne * to which s' add the territories of the municipalities, cited in the prefectural decree of 13/11/2011, which: O are located more than 1 200 m O or located within 1 200 m but part of a pastoral unit. This Order will apply for the 2012 ICHN premium. According to comments made by ASP to SEAR, this layer was amended on 26/09/2012 to comply with the prefectural decree. The previous version of the less-favoured area layer (2005 edition) is kept for memory, on the Geobase, suffixed by _001.
