Dataset description

Quarterly series of employees and private sector wage bills, at regional level and by sector of activity at aggregate level in 28 NAF positions. ► ** _[DATE](https://open.urssaf.fr/explore/dataset/planning-de-mise-a-jour/table/?sort=date_de_mise_a_jour)_: end of trim. + ~90 days.** _Champ_: private sector, general scheme, excluding agriculture, excluding Mayotte. _Depth_: since 1998. _Source_: Urssaf; Dares (acting strength) The quarterly series of employees and wage bills at regional level, broken down according to the classification of activities into 17 posts, are labeled by the Authority for Public Statistics (opinion of 14/04/2020 — JORF n°0095 of 18/04/2020). The classification of business lines into 28 positions is based on a grouping of sectors within the aggregated NAF into 38 positions. _Methodological precision_: * [employee staff](https://www.urssaf.org/home/observatoire-economique/sources-et-methodologie/methodologie/effectifs-salaries.html) * [wage mass](https://www.urssaf.org/home/observatoire-economique/sources-et-methodologie/methodologie/masse-salariale.html) * [private sector field](https://www.urssaf.org/home/observatoire-economique/sources-et-methodologie/methodologie/champ-concurrentiel.html) _ _ _Warning (30/06/2021)_: The introduction since March 2015 of the Nominal Social Declaration (DSN), which replaces, inter alia, the Contribution Summary Schedule (BRC), modifies the reporting information necessary for the calculation of the statistical indicators presented in this publication. The new source makes it possible to calculate the number of staff of institutions on the basis of individual contract data, whereas the aggregate staff of the same institutions, historically present in the BRCs, remained transiently present in DSN. The integration of individual data into the statistical processing chain of employees, which has been carried out gradually since 2016, was finalised in June 2021 on the occasion of the publication of the results for the first quarter of 2021\. More significant than usual revisions, especially at levels, can therefore be observed on staffing compared to the publication for the last quarter of 2020. The workforce data are now 100 % of the exploitation of the individual data of the DSN (see [Acoss Stat 325](https://www.urssaf.org/home/observatoire-economique/publications/acoss-stat/2021/acoss-stat-n325.html)). **DATAVIZ**: [positioning in perspective](https://open.urssaf.fr/explore/dataset/effectifs-salaries-et-masse-salariale-du-secteur-prive-par-region-x-na38/dataviz/)
