Dataset description

Grip of the flood of the Rhône Grand Lyon Q1000 The resource gathers the maps of flood envelopes of the Rhône for different scenarios of floods of Rhône elaborated to represent the evolution of these flood envelopes according to the intensity of these floods. The resource is the result of a multi-step approach. Construction of hydrological scenarios of flood of the Rhône integrating the inputs of the main tributaries and the operation of the hydroelectric installations of the Rhône 2- Hydraulic modelling of water levels achieved for each flood scenario 3- Determination of flood envelopes for each flood scenario from calculated water levels The resource was developed with a view to obtaining information on the potential consequences of floods in the Rhône and building benchmarks useful for the exploitation of forecasts and crisis management. Choices have been made regarding the parameters of flood formation (behaviour of tributaries) and the operation of hydroelectric facilities that may introduce significant variability in scenarios. These choices therefore do not accurately reflect all the configurations encountered in real-life situations. An analysis of the situation in real time must be done to make relevant use of the resulting maps. Purpose: Provide for each Rhone flood scenario a total envelope of the flood and envelopes of water height classes. The “bellbells” of script Q2, Q5,..., Q1000 are conventionally used to name scenarios/maps, not to describe precisely an occurrence of flood. For the use of maps, these labels correspond to a debit to be identified sector by sector or a rating at a forecast station. The ratings of the forecast stations to be attached to each scenario, or the flow rates when there is no station, are displayed at the same time as the envelopes. The hypotheses of operation of hydroelectric facilities appear with the information of the flow flowing in each milling arm, for each scenario. The mapped envelopes represent only the flood water levels of the Rhône, without extension to the envelopes to be connected to the water levels on tributaries in confluence zones. Information on the flood envelopes of the tributaries shall be juxtaposed considering the appropriate flood scenario of each tributary. __Origin__ DREAL RA Mission Rhône __Partner organisations__ DDT Rhône __Links annexes__ * [basketDownloadFrontalParametrage](https://catalogue.datara.gouv.fr/geosource/panierDownloadFrontalParametrage?LAYERIDTS=51977) * [direct download of data](https://catalogue.datara.gouv.fr/rss/atomfeed/atomdataset/3610d4ca-753f-4b8c-a63a-e59029fd2da3) [See this page on geo.data.gouv.fr](https://geo.data.gouv.fr/fr/datasets/c2c52f055210e7635064d9535fd184711a72fcd3)
