Dataset description

Banatic, the National Intercommunity Base, is the reference information system on intercommunality data. Developed by the DGCL, this portal is intended to make available the largest number of information on the category of groupings of local and regional authorities as defined by Article L5210-1-1 A of the General Code of Local and Regional Authorities (CGCT). Banatic’s information is produced on the basis of the information provided in the information systems managed by the decentralised services of the State called ASPIC “Access of public services to community information”. Information on public institutions of inter-municipal cooperation (EPCI) with or without own taxation and mixed trade unions shall be disseminated on Banatic: \- public inter-municipal cooperation institutions with own taxation: metropolis, urban community, agglomeration community, community of municipalities and new agglomeration union; public institutions of inter-municipal cooperation without own taxation: trade union with a single purpose and a multi-purpose trade union; \- mixed trade unions: closed Mixed Union and Open Mixed Union. \- metropolitan poles Reproduction rights reserved and strictly limited. NB. Geo-shapes are sometimes missing and, for more readability, do not include the interlocked administrative echelons (example of a grouping of several municipalities as well as the department and the region)
