Dataset description

Number of dwellings in the Centre-Val de Loire region by category (main residence, secondary residence and casual housing, vacant dwellings) by municipality in 1968, 1975, 1982, 1990, 1999, 2008, 2013 and 2019. Communal geography as of 1 January 2022. Definitions and thematic advice sheets: * <HTTPS://WWW.INSEE.FR/FR/INFORMATION/2383177> The population census shows the diversity and evolution of France’s population. INSEE thus provides statistics on inhabitants and dwellings, their number and characteristics:distribution by sex and age, occupations, housing conditions, modes of transport, commuting to work, etc. Personnel above 500 can normally be used with confidence. Personnel of less than 200 must be handled with caution, as due to the inaccuracy of the survey, they may not be significant. Comparisons between smaller territories should be prohibited. For areas of less than 2,000 inhabitants, it is recommended not to use data from the supplementary farm. For more methodological information, you can consult the fact sheets “Tips for the use of census results” by clicking on the link <https://www.insee.fr/fr/information/2383177> These fact sheets present the new characteristics of the population census and discuss their impact on the use of the data. They specify in particular the changes affecting the main statistical variables and their comparability with previous censuses. NB: due to the COVID-19 health crisis, the annual census survey to be held in 2021 was postponed to 2022. INSEE has adapted its methods of calculating legal populations to compensate for this postponement and continue to produce quality legal populations each year. Thus, from the dissemination of the legal populations 2019, INSEE recommends that comparisons of results be made over a period of 6 years until the census 2023 inclusive. The adaptation of methods is presented in this document: <HTTPS://WWW.INSEE.FR/FR/STATISTIQUES/FICHIER/6005800/FICHEREPORT_EAR_20211115.PDF>
