Dataset description

Right-of-way of hunting and wildlife reserves established pursuant to Article L 422-27 of the Code of #x27; Environment. The purpose of hunting and wildlife reserves is to protect migratory birds and endangered species and to develop tools for the management of wildlife and their habitats. The hunting and wildlife reserves are created, according to the point of view of interest, by the prefect (Article R 422-82 EC) or by the Minister responsible for hunting (national reserves Article R422-92 EC). Hunting reserves and wildlife established by prefectural order are created at the request of the holder of the right to hunt and prohibit any act of hunting. They play an important role in the preservation of wildlife and, in particular, species that can be hunted. They also most often contribute to the protection of wildlife environments and habitats. Established by ministerial order, national hunting and wildlife reserves are hunting and wildlife reserves of particular importance (Article R.422-92 of the Code of the Environment): — or because of their extent; or because they are home to species whose numbers are decreasing in all or part of the national territory or species of remarkable qualities; — either on the basis of scientific, technical studies or practical demonstrations carried out there.
