Dataset description

The hydrographic division is l' all of the four hierarchical partitions of the French territory made according to decreasing hydrographic areas: — hydrographic region (1st order), — hydrographic sector (2nd order), — hydrographic subsector (3 rd order), — hydrographic area (4th order). A hydrographic region is divided according to a maximum of 10 sectors, and one area is divided according to a maximum of 10 sub-sectors. The definition of sectors and their limits is the responsibility of the Water Agencies. __Origin__ Updated by l'IGN following requests from Agences de l'Water according to an annual cycle.
