Dataset description

New version of the Regional Land Occupancy Database — BD OCSOL 2014 — on the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. This version was produced as part of the update contract carried by the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region. This 3 rd version of the OCSOL 2014 comic book was redrafted during the 2019 update, enabling comparative analyses to be generated between 2014 and 2019. Previous files (BD OCSOL 2014) are available upon request. Produced from SPOT 6 satellite images (6 m), it is based on a 3-level nomenclature of the CRIGE PACA on 47 posts (derived from Corine Land Cover). Its scale of use is between 1/50 000th and 1/25 000th. This database was produced with the aim of providing regional actors with a tool to analyse and observe major trends in sub-regional land use trends. It is a topological polygonal vector layer, with an overall Minimum Collection Unit (MCU) of 5 000 m² with the exception of greenhouses, PAPAM and wetlands which are at 3 000 m². The production methodology combines PIAO, vector processing for the skeleton and part of the urban area and the classification of SPOT and LANDSAT satellite images according to the nomenclature items. Many exogenous data have been used to improve product quality, including IGN TOPO® and Scan 25®, DGPI cadastre, Graphical Parcellar Registry (RPG), IGN/IFN forest mapping and local databases (MOS).
