Dataset description

Pursuant to Article 15 of Law No 2015-991 of 7 August 2015, the Region was transferred the departmental competence to organise regular non-urban transport services (coaches). In 2018, the Region reunified its transport networks and disseminated data from the regional public transport offer [ZOU!](https://www.maregionsud.fr/transports/zou) (times, stop points, calendars and roads) of the six departments of the regional territory including: * Intercity bus lines (at departmental level) * The Chemins de Fer de Provence line between Nice and Digne-les-Bains * Regional Express Lines (LER): 22 lines serve more than 300 municipalities throughout the territory. Currently, 172 LER services operate daily, i.e. almost 1 million passengers per year These data are available in GTFS format and are updated daily (at midnight). These files can be interpreted using the free software CHOUETTE developed at the initiative of the French Ministry responsible for Transport (and sustainable development), in order to facilitate the exchange of (theoretical) public transport (TC) supply data: https://enroute.mobi/fr/chouette/ [Interactive map of the regional public transport network ZOU!](https://services-zou.maregionsud.fr/fr/)
