List of gendarmerie units welcoming to the public, including their geolocation and opening hours

**_Geographic coverage_** This dataset covers certain permanent or temporary gendarmerie units (brigade, information and recruitment centre, road safety units), located in metropolitan France and overseas departments and authorities that are intended to welcome the public. **_Source of data_** The dataset comes from the National Gendarmerie, a certified public service. The data is aggregated from multiple databases and published under open license. The daily reception hours of the units are not exclusive of 24 availability in case of emergency. The Operations Centres of the Gendarmerie (COG) also continuously provide a telephone reception dedicated to emergencies through telephone number 17 as well as the contact with the military of the territorial units. **_Format and contents of files_** Two CSV files updated every 24 hours are available. For each unit, the following attributes are added: public identifier unit, name of the unit, geographical address, telephone, department, INSEE code of the 5-character municipality, track, postal code, commune, geocodage_epsg, geocodage x, geocodage y, geocodage x GPS, geocoding y GPS, opening hours. In the 1st file (export-gn.csv) the reception times are presented in a readable format (text) on a single column. In the second file (export-gn2.csv) the reception schedules are presented in a technical format in 48 columns. Two columns for each time slot, 3 maximum time slots per day. The last six columns correspond to the opening hours of public holidays.
