List of Outstanding Heritage Sites (PRS)

**This dataset includes a list of municipalities where at least one remarkable heritage site (PRS) is located** **The ranking of remarkable heritage sites** aims to protect and enhance the architectural, urban and landscape heritage of our territories. Remarkable heritage sites are servitudes of public benefit, i.e. established by a public authority for the purpose of public interest. The remarkable heritage sites replace the old protective devices: protected areas, architectural, urban and landscape heritage protection areas (ZPPAUP) and architectural and heritage areas (AVAP). There are now more than 940 remarkable heritage sites. **Item of attention to the list**. The majority case is that of a PRS entirely located in a single municipality. There are, however, two other cases: \- The territory of a municipality may include several RPS: the separate RPD numbers located in the same municipality will be different, and there will be as many lines for the municipality as separate RPDs in its territory; \- a RPD may extend to the territory of several municipalities: each of the municipalities where this RPS is located will be identified by a clean line but the “PRS number” will be identical in the different lines; the column “Number of RPS” will indicate the value “1” for only one of these municipalities so that the total number of separate RPDs can easily be accounted for. **The issues of remarkable heritage sites** are reflected in a management plan that can take two forms: \- a backup and development plan (planning document) \- a plan to enhance architecture and heritage (servitude of public benefit) Each of them is a legibility factor for project promoters and residents.
