Management perimeters of the Rennes Métropole Roads Directorate

On 1 January 2015, by application of the MAPTAM law of 27 January 2014, Rennes Métropole was transferred the jurisdiction previously exercised by the municipalities. On 1 January 2017, on the basis of the Act NOTRe of 7 August 2015, the Metropole was transferred the power previously exercised by the department on the departmental roads of the 43 municipalities of the Métropole. This competence concerns the public domain of roads and its dependencies. To ensure its competence, particularly in the field of operations, the Métropole has been structured around 4 Platforms called Platform Rennes, Platform South, Platform Nord-Ouest and Platform Est.
