Dataset description

This map was made with the aim of quantifying the evolution of natural spaces in each Alsatian municipality over the period 2000-2011/2012. This analysis is expressed in rates, i.e. the percentage that additional natural areas represent in 2011/2012 compared to areas in 2000. This mapping is part of the BdOCS-CIGAL project, its realisation is based on the exploitation of the BdOCS-CIGAL 2000 and 2011/2012 in version 2 updated. The punctual figures are proportional to the importance of the phenomenon per commune ranging from -6.10 % to + 1.52 %, positive evolution is represented in green while the negative appears in orange. It is noted that 44 % of Alsatian municipalities experiencing a regression of their natural spaces while 35 % stagnating and 21 % show an increase in their natural spaces. Semiologically, it is incorrect to represent percentage changes, which is why it is important to link this map with that of the evolution of natural spaces per municipality expressed in hectare. Indeed, the territory will not necessarily be placed at the same level depending on whether the evolution of the surfaces is expressed in volume or in rates. Thus, if the losses are recorded in the mountain sector in terms of quantity, the magnitude of these in relation to the evolution in rates is less. Developments are much more localised when expressed in rates. Indeed, the Vosgesian mountain, Thann, Molsheim and Altkirch sectors seem to be more affected by losses. The really observable gains are in Alsace Bossue. This mapping is carried out for a print planned in A4 format, color, portrait orientation.
