Map — SRCE2014 — ALSACE — Information map n°8: Infrastructure-related issues or areas

This map was designed to represent infrastructure issues or areas requiring a barrier-crossability effort in order to improve the ecological continuity within the framework of the SRCE. The elements mapped at 1:100 000th on the whole of Alsace cut into 14 sectors correspond on the one hand to the elements of the green and blue frame, on the other hand to the fragmented elements; all of this information makes it possible to focus on points or areas with infrastructure-related challenges. The elements of the green and blue frame correspond to biodiversity reservoirs and Natura 2000 protection perimeters and perimeters in biodiversity reservoirs, regional ecological corridors, preferential wildlife crossing routes in the Vosges massif, watercourses classified under Article 214-17 of the Environmental Code, List 1 and 2 and potentially mobile portion watercourses (no special treatment on all the fields of the GIS data cited). The main fragmenting elements are composed of major roads (class 4 and 5) including closed lanes, standard roads (class 3) with high traffic, major road and rail projects as well as urbanised areas. The points or areas at stake related to infrastructure are spaces where there is a conflict between the elements of the TVB and the different fragmenting elements, a cross-border effort must be provided (points related to all classes of roads, road projects, railways, high voltage lines, canals, etc.). Elements of context complement the cartographic representation. This mapping is carried out for a print planned in A3 format, color, portrait orientation.
