Dataset description

The pearl mussel has become a species protected by French law since the Decree of 7 October 1992 and Decree No. 99-615 of 7 July 1999. It is also listed in Annexes II and V to the Habitats-Fauna-Flore Directive and in Annex III to the Berne Convention. In 2010, the IUCN Red List classifies it as Endangered (Threatened, Endangered). It is considered to face a very high risk of extinction in the wild in the near future. This layer presents on a regional scale the distribution of the pearl mussel by mesh of 10 x 10 km. As the species was sensitive, DREAL aggregated accurate data at the 10 x 10 km mesh. Legally, the protocol of the SINP (circular of the Ministry of Ecology dated May 15, 2013) defines sensitive data. See extracts from the annexed Protocol. These are the data, referred to in Article L. 124-4 §8 of the Environmental Code, whose consultation or communication undermines the protection of the environment. — If you are an individual, a design office or a local authority, you can contact the Conservatoire des Espaces Naturels (CEN) of Auvergne (e-mail address: [email protected] ) to request access to accurate data. CEN Auvergne will consider whether precise data may be made available. — If you are a State service, you can request the provision of accurate data from the DREAL Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (CIDDAE service, SIG cluster) at [email protected].
