Dataset description

This dataset consists of monthly wind and solar production chronicles at the hourly pace, at the French grid since 2020, allowing CRE to calculate the reference prices used in the calculation of the remuneration supplement for the wind and solar sectors. The remuneration supplement is a support scheme for wind and solar energy producers provided for in Articles [L. 314-18 to L. 314-27](https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/affichCode.do;jsessionid=4EA59519B448F6D7D5ADCAB9C9994F9C.tplgfr26s_3?idSectionTA=LEGISCTA000031053454&cidTexte=LEGITEXT000023983208&dateTexte=20180129) of the Energy Code. It was introduced by the LTECV. In that mechanism, where electricity producers from [renewable energy](https://www.cre.fr/Pages-annexes/Glossaire/ENERGIE-RENOUVELABLE) market their energy directly on the markets, a premium compensates for the difference between the income from that sale and a reference level of remuneration, determined by the type of installations by the public authority in the context of a tariff order or by the producer in the context of a competitive tendering procedure. This supplement may generally be described as a variable bonus, or ex post, to the extent that its amount is adjusted to compensate for the difference between the reference remuneration and a reference market income. This scheme aims to expose producers to short-term market price signals, while ensuring reasonable remuneration. This dataset will be updated at a monthly frequency. * * *
