Municipalities subject to coastal or mountain law in Hérault

The 343 communes of l'' Hérault, are informed about their submission to the coastal or mountain law, their classification in mountain areas and their belonging to a perimeter of massif. This layer is built d'' after the Bd Carto with the INSEE population without double counting in 2006. Law "montagne" No 85-30 of 9 January 1985 on the development and protection of the mountain Article 3 of the Law: mountain areas are characterised by significant handicaps leading to more difficult living conditions and restricting the exercise of certain economic activities.
