The Muséofile database lists museums with the designation “musée de France” within the meaning of [Code du Patrimoine](https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/affichTexte.do?cidTexte=JORFTEXT000000769536&categorieLien=id) (approximately 1220). It is available on the [Open Heritage Platform](https://www.pop.culture.gouv.fr/search/list?base=%5B%22Mus%C3%A9es%20de%20france%20%28MUSEO%29%22%5D). The data in this database are linked to the [base Joconde](https://www.pop.culture.gouv.fr/search/list?base=%5B%22Collections%20des%20mus%C3%A9es%20de%20France%20%28Joconde%29%22%5D), a collective catalogue of the collections of museums in France.
