New Aquitaine: Natura 2000 — Special Protection Areas (SPAs) — Perimeters (surfacic)

This dataset contains the Special Protection Zones (SPAs) of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region These areas are part of the Natura 2000 network, a network of community areas for the protection of priority habitats and species. Special Protection Areas (SPAs) are marine and terrestrial sites that are particularly suitable for the survival and reproduction of ' species of #x27; wild birds on a list drawn up by the Minister responsible for the environment; or which serve as breeding, moulting, moulting, wintering or relay areas to species of #x27; migratory birds. NOTE: the perimeters distributed via these local DREAL layers, are the most up-to-date of; a point of view of the sites; progress of the sites (ecological diagnosis carried out, DOCOB validated), but not all have been officially validated by the European Commission (designation in progress). They are given as an indication; to know the official outline, please refer to the MNHN website (http://inpn.mnhn.fr/site/natura2000/region/72/aquitaine). __Origin__ This dataset was harmonised on 10 June 2016 with the heritage of the 3 ex-DREAL (Aquitaine, Limousin and Poitou-Charentes). Digitalisation carried out in collaboration between the National Museum of Natural History and the 3 ex-DREAL.
