Dataset description

This dataset contains the location of counting points describing the traffic of the unlicensed motorway network, of the national and departmental networks in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region for the years 2011 to 2015, the year N being the year 2015. This data is collected from the General Councils, for the departmental network and the Interdepartmental Directorates of Roads, for the national road network and for the unlicensed motorway network. For each metering station, there is the Annual Average Daily Traffic (TMJA), when it is available, over several years, for all vehicles (light vehicles and heavy weights) and the percentage of heavy weights for the years in question. There are also, subject to availability, percentages of annual traffic and percentages of heavy goods vehicles, compared to the same figures from previous years. Counting posts can be of 3 types: Permanent counter: the flow rate of vehicles per direction and the rate of heavy goods vehicles is measured every day of the year 24 hours a day. Rotating counter: traffic is measured over 4 periods d'one week during the year. Punctual counter: traffic is measured over a period (usually a week) as part of a specific request. __Origin__ This dataset was created on the perimeter of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region during the heritage harmonisation project in 2016. It is produced from the assembly of data from the 3 former regions Aquitaine, Limousin and Poitou-Charentes.
