Dataset description

The file published presents a historical state of the nomenclature of civil cases since its recast in 2002. The classification of civil cases covers all legal areas which fall within the jurisdiction of civil, social and commercial courts. Its objective is to describe the applications before the civil courts as their main purpose, in the different areas of legal relations. It constitutes, in that regard, the exclusive source of information on the legal aspects of legal claims. This information is of great interest both for the management of cases in the jurisdiction and for the knowledge of the judicial activity. The three columns to the right in the table reflect developments in the nomenclature since its recasting. These include updates related to the taking into account of legislative or regulatory reforms, or to clarify certain disputes that have resulted in subdivisions of certain codes for more detailed statistical evaluation purposes.
