Dataset description

This dataset is an extraction of the National Inter-Plans of Sickness Insurance System (SNIIRAM) covering all health insurance reimbursements for all plans combined. It complements the less detailed data sets ([expenditure excluding hospital services national version](https://www.data.gouv.fr/fr/datasets/depenses-d-assurance-maladie-hors-prestations-hospitalieres-par-caisse-primaire-departement/) and [expenditure excluding hospital services per caisse/department](https://www.data.gouv.fr/fr/datasets/depenses-d-assurance-maladie-hors-prestations-hospitalieres-donnees-nationales/)) for informed users wishing to explore complementary axes. This dataset covers all the services covered by the compulsory sickness insurance, including hospital services invoiced directly to the Sickness Insurance for all schemes. In order to preserve the anonymity of healthcare professionals and care recipients, the geographical axes are limited: — to 9 geographical areas (areas of study and spatial planning) which are groupings of administrative regions from 2009 to 2014, — to 13 geographical areas (close to the newly created major administrative regions) from 2015. The expenditure is detailed according to six axes of analysis (period, benefit, care organisation, care recipient, performing healthcare professional, prescribing healthcare professional) and seven indicators of amount (total expenditure, reimbursement basis, amount reimbursed, overrun) and volume (counting, quantity, coefficient). In total, each service line is described by 55 variables. It is essential to refer to the description accompanying the dataset. The data can be downloaded in csv format. The monthly files are prefixed by P from 2009 to 2014 and then prefixed by A from 2015. These files are suffixed by the year and month of reimbursement of expenses. For health insurance expenditure, three other data sets, covering different fields, are proposed: — [sickness insurance expenditure excluding hospital benefits (national data)](https://www.data.gouv.fr/fr/datasets/depenses-d-assurance-maladie-hors-prestations-hospitalieres-donnees-nationales/): database of all reimbursements (excluding hospital services) made by the general sickness insurance scheme in France; — [sickness insurance expenditure excluding hospital benefits per primary fund/department](https://www.data.gouv.fr/fr/datasets/depenses-d-assurance-maladie-hors-prestations-hospitalieres-par-caisse-primaire-departement/): database of all reimbursements (excluding hospital services) made by the general sickness insurance scheme in France; — [annual expenditure on health insurance](https://www.data.gouv.fr/fr/datasets/depenses-annuelles-d-assurance-maladie/): scoreboards covering all reimbursements (including hospital services) made by the general sickness insurance scheme in metropolitan France.
