Dataset description

Pedestrian flow counts are carried out in March or early April (excluding school holidays). For each counting point, the results are presented in all senses combined and reported to an hourly average. Counts are carried out Tuesday or Thursday only in 3 time slots and Saturday on 2 slices (noon and evening): • Morning period: 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. • Lunchtime: 11:30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. • Evening period: 4:30 p.m. to 16:30 p.m. Be careful, not all points are counted every year. We draw attention to the fact that these counts count pedestrian flows and in no case travel or number of pedestrians (in the sense of separate persons). Indeed, some pedestrians can be counted several times successively or on the contrary some others never counted. The value of this method lies in the estimation of pedestrian traffic and its evolution.
