Dataset description

National and departmental historical series on APA beneficiaries and expenditure at home and in institutions since 2002 are made available here. Data on the distribution by age, sex and IRM of beneficiaries or raw data (as reported by the communities) on the expenditure covered by the APA at home are also disseminated. These data are derived from the Social Assistance Survey, an annual survey of departmental councils, which collects aggregated data on APA recipients and expenditures. It describes the evolution of the ABS since its inception in 2002. Data from the quarterly ABS survey are also made available. The results are aggregated by departments. This survey makes it possible to study specifically the effects of the legislative changes introduced by the Law on the adaptation of society to ageing (increased legal ceilings, lower participation rates) on the number of beneficiaries and their use of aid. The collection took place every quarter from the 4th quarter of 2015 to the 4th quarter of 2017.
