Dataset description

**Fishing** is the subject of **regulation** provided which often has a geographical dimension. The restricted geographical areas are defined in the texts (prefectural decrees, ministerial decrees, etc.). A **map representation** of these is necessary for their interpretation and operational implementation, the National Fisheries Monitoring Centre mapped the restricted areas and makes them available here to all actors who may need them. Data are available in CSV format and GeoPackage format. The attributes are as follows: — **THEMATIC**: the theme (geographical area concerned, fishing techniques and/or species...) — **zone**: the name of the restricted zone as defined in the text — **reglementations**: the reference(s) of the by-laws defining the regulation of the area in question — **geometrie**: the geometry of the restricted area, in WKT format In the GeoPackage, the areas of the same theme are grouped in the same layer. **Attention**: * the maps of this dataset are **interpretation of the texts by the CNSP** and ** do not act as official regulations**. In case of doubt, refer to the texts. **Only the texts are authentic.** * this dataset represents the state of fisheries regulation at the time of its release, and **regulation may have evolved since the release of this dataset**. **Last update: 9 June 2021.**
