Dataset description

A file is available for each type of WISE water body: —masses of river water (RWBODY), —mass of water body of water (LWBODY), —coastal water mass (CWBODY), —transition water mass (TWBODY). A mass of river water is a distinct and significant part of surface waters such as a river, river or canal, part of a river, river or canal. The river water masses are derived from the BDCarthage® v3 hydrographic theme of the BDCarto®. A mass of water is a distinct and significant part of surface waters such as a lake, a reservoir. Water bodies are derived from the BDCarthage® v3 hydrographic theme of BDCarto®. A mass of transition water is a distinct and significant part of surface waters near river or river mouths, which are partially saline due to their proximity to coastal waters but which remain fundamentally influenced by freshwater currents. A mass of coastal water is a distinct and significant part of the surface waters between the baseline used to measure the width of territorial waters and a distance of #x27 nautical mile. __Origin__ This data is developed by the EIS actors __Partner organisations__ ONEMA [See this page on geo.data.gouv.fr](https://geo.data.gouv.fr/fr/datasets/161485f3d3465d63947c32d8896a85b70fd6dc02)
