Dataset description

Ski lifts of the ski resorts of Haute-Savoie + ski areas of Savoie and Switzerland accessible from the ski resorts of Haute-Savoie. “Mountain lifts are public passenger transport equipment by funicular or rack railway, cable car, ski lift or any other machine using carrier cables or tractors” (art. L 342-7 of the Tourism Code). Each lift is represented by a line symbolising the cable that connects the downstream station of the lift to the upstream station (possibly passing through an intermediate station). __Origin__ The information associated with geographical objects that are retrieved from the Digital Land Model using the Mapper vertical software (ALT_BAS and ALT_HAUT) could not be updated in August 2013, if although some attributes could not be recalculated (DENIVELEE, L_DEVELOPPEE, MP_RM and CAP_LIGNE). About fifty or so; “snow wire or low cable ski lift” type apparatus and about thirty “rolling mats”, which could not be located precisely, are not included in the table (9 % of the devices in service). Some removable “RCAB or RCOB” devices in the table are not visible in aerial photos and are therefore inaccurately located. The information concerning the period of operation n' has not been verified. The table “L_REMONTEE_MECANIQUE_L_074” is a selection of the table “_REMONTEE_MECANIQUE_HISTORIQUE_L_074” which includes all known ski lifts, including those that are no longer administratively authorised to operate and/or dismantled (the selection is made on the \#x27; attribute “AN_FERMETURE” = 0). Only “in-service” lifts are represented, i.e. facilities that are administratively authorised to operate, even if they are not or little operated during the season for one reason or another (e.g. lack of snow). __Partner organisations__ DDT 74 (Departmental Directorate of the Territories of Upper Savoie) __Links annexes__ * [HTML view of metadata on the Internet](http://catalogue.geo-ide.developpement-durable.gouv.fr/catalogue/apps/search/?uuid=fr-120066022-jdd-ec8c3026-3b62-486d-88d7-05d15eeb5a29) * [XML metadata view](http://catalogue.geo-ide.developpement-durable.gouv.fr/catalogue/srv/fre/xml_iso19139?uuid=fr-120066022-jdd-ec8c3026-3b62-486d-88d7-05d15eeb5a29) * [mechanical reassembly](http://www.xn--remontes-mcaniques-gwbe.fr/) * [Swiss mechanical winding](http://www.skichablais.net/) * [access to the single download service of the game and associated documents](http://atom.geo-ide.developpement-durable.gouv.fr/atomMetadata/GetResourceDescription?id=b40d6031-5bd6-48d4-aaa2-a17cbddd8bb0&scope=INTERNET)
