Dataset description

Two types of work can be distinguished according to their size and use. The first type of ' includes works operated by EDF (granted works). In the department it is the dams of Rochebut and Prat on the Cher and Châtel-Montagne on the Besbre. In addition to their use of electrical production, these large structures are also used for d' other uses such as l' water supply drinking, the support of tapping, the practice of nautical leisure on the upstream reservoirs. The second type of work is aimed at private installations of much smaller size called micro-centrals. At the level of Department, the majority of micro-centrals are located on the Sioule, and none exist on the Cher and Allier rivers. L' electricity produced by micro-centrals is either sold to EDF or self-consumed.
